Dimitris Angelis-Dimakis<\/strong> (1985). <\/strong>First degree in History and Master in European History with overall grade Excellent (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). Ph.D. (on a four year scholarship) in Contemporary History (Department of Contemporary History, Autonomous University of Madrid, supervisor Prof. Juan Pan-Montojo) with overall evaluation Excellent, with Honours (Sobresaliente, Cum Laude). The title of his PhD thesis is \u201cRural Worlds in movement. A comparative analysis of the agrarian associations in Spain and Greece, 1881-1936<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/em>. His main research interests include the comparative view of the agrarian structures of the Mediterranean countries during the first third of the twentieth century and the role of the agrarian associations as levers of pressure, exponents of agrarian protest and vehicles of the technical modernisation of the countryside. He has published several articles in academic journals and Conference Proceedings centering on the impact of the agrarian associations on the rural society and economy in Greece and Spain. He has experience in archival research focusing on the land reform and the associative policy, the operation of agrarian organisations, the evolution of the peasant mobilisation and the role of agronomists in Spain and Greece. Member of the Group of Rural History of the Greek Economic History Association and founding member of the Hellenic Society of Environmental History. Currently he is Fellow at the Research Centre for the Humanities and adjunct lecturer at the Hellenic Open University. He speaks Greek, Spanish, English and French.<\/p>\n
