Marios Panierakis studied Sociology at the University of the Aegean and continued his postgraduate studies in Social and Historical Anthropology at the same University. His PhD thesis, entitled «“Seamos primavera”: Abriendo los muros de las demandas en la lucha por la defensa de Rosa Nera», was defended at the Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades “Alfonso Vélez Pliego” (Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, México) and received the mention “Ad Honorem”. His PhD research has been funded by Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología. His main research interests include collective action, social movements, militant research and contemporary political theory and philosophy. He has participated in national and international conferences and has translated essays from Spanish and English to Greek.
